Speakers

We are very blessed to have Terry and Sue Folker over to be our speakers for the weekend. They are both from America, but they currently live in Berlin, where they lead the church there. Terry had a background in Theology and in Business Studies before becoming a disciple in 1982. He met Sue in Florida where they were married and went into the full-time ministry. Sue has a degree in mental health couseling and currently serves as a therapist to help many people with specific emotional and spiritual needs. Together they have experience leading ministries in Florida, Boston and Tennessee, and have organised two church plantings. They've been married for 27 years and have one son, James, a musician.

Before moving to Berlin, they were priviledged to lead the Boston singles ministry! When they arrived, this ministry was a diverse group of 450 single adults – diverse in age, culture, race, and spiritual history. 

"We wanted to lead this group because we saw them as under-utilized in the church and disciples without a dream. They did not feel like they 'fit in' to the structure of the church, not having families.  Having been active as single professionals at one time, we knew how this ministry could thrive if given the opportunity." 

The Boston Church gave them that opportunity and in 3 yrs, this group grew to over 550, with Singles leading the Singles in every region of church, and contributing their leadership to mission teams to Maine and Connecticut.

Lets welcome them with open and grateful hearts, and lets learn from their wisdom and experience. They love God and his kingdom and hopefully we'll be able to bless them as much as they'll bless us!
